I was born in Corinth, Mississippi, in May of 1966. I came to know the Lord in the fall of 1984 as a freshman in college. I felt the call to the ministry in the late 80's and surrendered to that call in the fall of 1991. I graduated from Union University in 1993 and attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Andersonville Baptist Seminary off and on over the next few years. Meanwhile God grew me and used me in several church staff positions until I became the pastor of Wyatte Baptist Church in Senatobia, Mississippi, in February of 2002. Along with my love of the Word of God and His people, He has developed in me an intense heart for the local church. One of my greatest joys has been the opportunity to help struggling churches get back on track and back on mission through conferences and consultation and replanting and revitalization. Now in my fifties I hope to be able to expand this part of my ministry as more and more churches are hurting and in need of a fresh vision and mission.
I have been married to the former Jennifer Foster of Pontotoc, Mississippi, since 1995. God blessed us with two beautiful daughters, Grace and Sarah Anne. In 2021 Grace married Mavrick Chandler. They are in Spokane, Washington, preparing for the mission field as he attends the Moody Institute. Mavrick will be a missionary pilot. Grace is in her junior year in elementary education. Sarah Anne graduated first in her class from the Mississippi College School of Nursing and is an RN in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Outside of the grace that God has shown me in me in my life, I am most thankful for my little family.
